So for all the people of Japan. How do you think our scene will be like this year??? How do you look at it? Will it be good, bad, grow even bigger, dissapear, etc...
My opnion, we have TOO many organizations, TOO many parties on the weekends(in Tokyo) and tons of fights.
I think that the organizations by having parties on the same dates, are just ruining this scene. Lately all parties get a crowd of less than 1000. Then after a while i think its gonna go down even more...
I think it just got too big(trance scene) for this small country to handle.
Im saying this year trance is gonna go down, and once again the hip hop scene will come back.
What do you guys think?

the hip hop scene still big in around the all world!i just

we just have to belive in our moviments and atitudes!
maybe can be less ppl!but that ppl still listening trace are
the ppl bilieve and like trance music!now the ppl get
tired of trance scene, and go to other style of music,
maybe is because its not the rigth place to this ppl stay!
like me i working before with hip hop and drum and bass
!i still like, but only to listenig that!then i change to trance!
now i working and do dj 7 years only trance, and i dont
care if its gonna be more big or small!because i like that!
and now this scene in japan is big because its are only
fashion!i can say 70% of the ppl coming to the party
now they are only fashion!this ppl coming only to found
some girls, drugs,or figth!30% of the ppl is the real party ppl!friends i know long time a go,the real tribe of trance!
they not coming to the partys in japan any more!just

good post..I think that Hikari is very accurate when he says there is too many organizers and too many parties on the same day. I agree that the scence will decline this year, but the parties here are better than other parts of the world in many cases so I dont want to be spoiled. As far as the peak of the Japanese trance scene, it is definitely over now. From now on only the true lovers will prevail.

ps..too many organizers only care about making a buck.

respect to the people who still try and maintain the good vibes here. all you organizers on here who throw small gatherings, keep us posted here please, you know who you are, lets utilize this site more! peace out

MadFactory, Im not trying to promote the hip hop scene or anything, Im just saying that hip hop will be the main for many clubs, after this trance passes by.
Yokohama Bay Hall is now a hip hop club(Since Trance is not allowed anymore).
But for sure I love to have the underground scene once again in japan, where music lovers go to meet. Not the ones who come because of the fashion or trend.

Kownes I do underground parties sometimes at CUBE. With DJ So and others. I will invite you when we do.

Hope this scene gets filtered into something better this year.

of music!hip hop analog music!trance is electronic
music!and i just say hip hop are the more biggest scene
in japan since ago...and they still!the most biggest
events of hip hop still around shibuya @ the most big
and famous clubs, also in ropongi etc...but i didnt say
you try to promote the hip hop partys here!i just try
to u understand the hip hop are big long time since a go

I been into electronic dance music for near 12 years now
... and the difference in the 'availabilty' of Techno/Trance between when I first went to Japan (1993) and the last time I was there (2001) is massive..!!! In 1993, there was a small electronic movement (everything else seemed to be Acid Jazz, Reggae or Karaoke ) and it was hard to find a good 'regular' dance........ over the last years - Trance in Japan has become a huge comercial, mainstream, phenomena which I have never seen in any other country.... In my mind, there is no doubt that the Trance scene in Japan will burst under its own weight......
...It does not help when Organisers put on parties on the same day/weekend as other parties.... as if they are in direct competition for our money!.... this will ultimatley be felt in the pocket of these organisers as there is only a 'finite' number of 'Trancers' wishing to go to the parties...
The same thing has been going on in London these past 2 years.. where 2 or 3 BIG organisers throw parties on the same weekend..!It all feels a bit wrong.... like 'they' are missing the point of a party..... to have a good time...... not to create 'conflict' within the 'circle'..!!
...However the good thing that has come from that situation is the emergence of 'smaller' and more... 'full of the right spirit' Party Organisers ...whose parties are measurably better, nicer and full of the right sort of people and vibe(for me).. If the Japanese Trance Scene appears to get 'smaller', 'less comercial' or 'less mainstream' from now.... It can only be a good thing (in my opinion).... everywhere else in the world ('cept maybe taiwan) it is still a relativley Small, Uncomercial, NonMainstream phenomena           ---------------------------------------------
