Well, if you dont like the scene then dont participate on it...

do you like the music? do you feel with well creating certain types of trance? than do it

today there is an excelent oportunity for people who actualy dont like psytrance scene to not even think about it...

you can easly get your own career doing whatever profession you want and then just make music as a hobbie on the weekends, you dont even need to go partys to watch the miserable issues you claim...

and its even better if you think, that perhaps less than 1% of all psytrance producers can be totaly professional, because the other 99% will not make enough money from it to make living...

so... why complain exacly? because people are not givin you enough atention?

my best advice is: if you enjoy the music, or the style, than make use of it, waste your time creating or listening your favourite artists, if you have friends in comoon who do enjoy the same, than have a nice time with them and share your own taste and create music or listen music togheter...

if there is something amazing about this modern days, is that you have freedom and technology to do pretty much everything you want, the only think that is upseting you is that not everyone share the same vision you do...

either your brillian person and the all the others fool's, or simply you need to acept diferent types of reality

but i do agree, the scene is burned out, not only the psy scene, the hole electronic scene is a joke since Paris Hilton started to ear 100k per show doing absolutly nothin, welcome to the world where decent people with ideals dont earn nothin and were smart asses take over and rule...

dont like it? dont think about it... just screw them all and try to be happy ok?

Sorry I don`t want to come off as a troll or a shit-talker or a forum god. I got carried away.. I guess part of the scene is still good.

I just get pissed off how artists don`t get payed for gigs, shit talkers posing as (spiritual people) everywhere, artists acting like theyre Hollywood celebrities, and people fucking you over.

I don`t understand why this scene became so notorious.

Okay, so you have an issue with the scene, the people in it, and what it's become. But what you mention was present five years ago too. That means nothing much has changed in this regard. So maybe you need to get over the fact that all these things and people are part of the scene and come to terms with it i.e. be at peace with it.

I remember my first year visiting Goa, thanks to a friend of mine who grew up as a Goa hippy kid. It was post millennium. 2001 to be exact. I was quite young, only a teenager. And I was quite blown away by the parties. But on Hilltop Christmas morning as I started looking around at all the different people I noticed two bizarre things. One was a group of Bollywood actors dancing and smoking chillums, and another was a bunch of preppy seniors from my High School doing the same.

At that moment it suddenly hit me that everyone and their mothers are out here. Including me, a rebellious pacifist punk rocker type, who thought he had discovered something special, something awesome, something only people of a certain 'frequency' would get and want to be a part of.

From then on it was obvious, I was too late. Although I had the bholenath in me, the scene was now open to the world, crooks, cunts, jocks, elitists, pricks and what not. And I did want to love them, but, man, some of these people can be a total drain.

I couldn't care less though. I still listen to all kinds of music, and party with all sorts of people. Of course this scene introduced me to psychedelics and full power danceformations so it'll always hold a special spot in my heart.

Take what you can from psy, my friend. It's a beautiful thing, and you'll always find killer scenes here and there. Maybe you can go somewhere where there is still no scene and start one, and be part of the growth of it. But never expect things to remain as they were i.e. innocent, pure, beautiful...

"The Scene" like everything in life, is what you make of it.

You are not wrong there. That definitely goes on and it sucks and we often wonder why psytrance draws people like this.
But there are pockets of scenes where that kind of thing doesn't exist for some reason and if someone comes along showing signs of of being like that, or screwing others etc they are quickly escorted out. Why that kind of stewardship can't happen on a larger scale is a bigger question.

I was surprised the other day to learn that apparently the Trance Mafia is an actual thing. Artists can allegedly be blockaded from playing "across the globe" if they express certain opinions. The guy talking about it was pretty insistent about it, said he knew the people involved.

Is this the change we want to be in the world?

The remarks were made about Benji Vaughn, not me. I'm no more perfect than you are, or anyone else, but I wouldn't even think to set out to prevent anyone from playing anywhere just because I disagreed with them.

Are you saying that you corroborate what this guy said?           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

C'mon, children!!
Can't we just leave the personal shit out of the topic and stick to subject, no matter how stupid and repetitive it is?
Otherwise I'll have to bring in Detox to burn yo asses!!

Keep it cool, guys. Please...
