Have you ever felt it?

When you are working on a melody in your track, and suddenly start to feel like this melody is not composed by you? And you can't remeber where it is from (because most probably YOU have just composed it), but the more you work on it, more you feel this.

Know what i'm talking about?           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

haha, for me it happenes similar.

i tweak and tweak, thinking this is gonna be awesome melody, tweak tweak, nearly done it just one or two notes more... tadaaaa!... the braveheart soundtrack LOL

damn, i hate that... it feels like im such a influenced being. lol

oh, and changing that done melody is a no go, once you discovered the "real" song melody. because you always will think of it haha.          www.soundcloud.com/orgytime

All creativity is based upon inspiration. Which means just as a human being, music is recycled material!

If I ever come up with a sound that doesn't seem new I just try to use it in a new way.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

I happened across a Hallucinogen lead/pattern in my last track through a happy accident...but didn't really realize it until I had done a lot of work on it and getting it to sit right. I was initially kind of worried that someone would be all like PSY PLAGIARISM DERP DERP

No one noticed.

same for me. but i know that mostly it's because it's the effect of psychedelic music: new, but very familiar !

Never hapend to me , And you know why ? This is because i dont listen to trance anymore (Sure here and there but not daily
or every second or in my car - I dont like trance So that help me stay focus with my own ideas of music , Sure some of your
musical influence (From all life) Can be come and jump here and there but not realy 100x100 , This is not possible imo (And also unnecessary) , But i can tell you whats happen to me (This is almost 2 weeks already) that i dont like my mello/Atmos pads
anymore (Thats remind me to much of myself 13 years back , So i need siting with myself and think/Learn/Feel other ways to
release myself from those and turn into a new way) . I stuck now with an new track (Almost done) Super sound ! Best i ever had ,
Deep bass (Hell one) and kik , Alot of prec and hh loops with an many kind of rhythms in , But i dont know what to put up there
(And i smoke alot .. But no ideas) Everything i do (When i start) Sound as an same things i have done already before , So thats
realy frustrate me , Maybe i need some vacation .. Maybe some rest , Maybe some ski in the alps mountain ..

but it works great for him... so it doesnt matter if you use always the same melody (maybe in another key)!

No no i dont talking on the same melody dont be wrong , Never put the same , And same with an different note is an bad idea (Because always will be the one who tell you "Haa .. This sound i already heard/Playing in another track" + Its boring + This is no pro thing to do when you must/Should be creative and not recycling your tunes . True .. Life is a big loop but we should do somthing interesting/New/Fertile from inside (Of us) . Music must release .. Not freeze your spirit .

but it seems to work, even for the "stars" in this scene. most people don't even notice.

listen to astral projections' soundform at 4:19 and then to solid electronics at 2:49.

It's spelled "guetta". It's a good thing I could tell it was just a typo, other people might think you were saying something ignorant!
