That was probably made with a Virus...
I'm also trying to recreate that kind of sound.... without a Virus though.No success until now.

There's one or two patches on "Adam Van Baker Soundset Part 2" for Sylenth1 that are very close to that.

i think it can be made with sylenth1 or albino, predator or Junglist..

the key here seems to be resonance and distortion or filter saturation. i would start with a single saw osc or maybe 2 slightly detuned saws to fatten it up. lp filter. crank resonance up maybe 25-30%. in albino, filter saturation would give you that screaming quality. either the saturation in the regular filter or putting the fx filter, cranking the resonance and saturation to taste and playing with dry/wet ratio. in a virus, digitar distortion would probably work better than filter saturation. the cutoff is also obviously being modulated slowly, but it's probably automated rather than with an lfo (it's not really regular). i also hear a bit of delay panned to the left (or maybe it's just a stereo or ping-pong delay and heard better on the left side when it hits some of the higher notes).

yeah i made with 2 saw oscilators..with little detune...little chorus..little phaser or cutoff filter + distortion + reverb on Sylenth1
i played with pitch lfos with not that much of rate

i heard this exact preset in some vsti, i cant remember which one it was...i think it was massive or rapture.

yeah, i tried to achieve this with Albino, but couldn't get such clearance and fatness, on lower notes especially...

Sounds similar to the lead in Eskimo - Voodoo People.

I think its a preset in the virus called Duck Driver or something. At least that's close the sound. Not sure how its made though.

Would be interesting to reverse engineer that patch.

some notes sounds like a real guitar + distortion + highshelf.
i often tried to recreate those kind of leads with vanguard and
got some good results, but i never reached that voodoo people

Someone posted a silimiar lead in this forum, on a sample pack.
I can't find the topic. but here is the file:

I tried to recreate that type of sound. With no sucess.

The solution for me was to find clean lead passages and sample them.
Work the waveform on soundforge, copy paste sections. Then load it into a sampler...
