Hi everybody

in Lemurians - Shining with You 03:40 and forward theres a cool lead coming in
and it has somekind of dark sound in the background, sounds kinda like reverse reverb and then EQed to shift the sound a little..
what u think?

i doubt thats a reverse reverb, but its definitely eq'd. i think the Waves Reverb's let you EQ out frequencies from the reverb'd sound.

Also try Vanguard's Reverb - that has a similiar sound to what your after. I'm still trying to make TrueVerb/RVerb sound like that so I could use that on other VST's. :-(

Exactly, the pre-delay is the trick... The higher frequencies are attenuated a little, so they don't swarn the original. All in all a pretty standard way of reverbing - any decent reverb can do the trick

Amygdala- can you explain what do you mean by the predelay is the trick?
the predelay determins how far the source is
from you, or/and the size of the room,
so how is this feature actualy works on this
speciefic sample.

Pre-delay determines the time between the dry sound and the onset of the reverb tail and/or early reflections (depending on the reverb), and is meant to simulate one of the ways our brains determine the size of the room we are in. A long pre-delay means a long time between hearing the dry sound and the respective reverb.

Try setting the pre-delay to a time equal to an exact beat-division, eg. 1/16.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
