if u make those strong massive chords like x-noize or point
the ones before and on the kick's entrances

how do u prefer to thicken or massivate them?

I don't like using chord stabs or chord strings, the progression becomes too forced that way. Basically, a shitload of reverb would probably be the best way to make an effect 'alive', which is what I think you're looking for, but there's no secret to this other than EQing right.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222
