I took some people to X-Dream, SUN Project last year and since then this is their "I listen to" section on Myspace:
Phish, Grateful Dead, Sublime, Hatebreed, Godsmack, Blink 182, X-Dream... ...
My mom lies melodic, morning style but she get freaked out when i blast the volume on HI while listening to dark stuff
Some kid told me: Why are the SONGS so long? Why can't they be 3 minutes long like the ones on my WEBSTER HALL TECHNO CD?

I would agree with your parents about 1200 mics. Hallucinogen and Shpongle however ARE wonderful.
I used to live in a house full of trance haters and they used to refer to my room as 'the gay disco' whenever I jacked up the volume. Bastards!

hehe, same here (almost that is). I lived with 4 other persons. They refered to my room as the "Opium room" because of the dark red light, candles, a lot of smoke and pumping psychedelic tunes 
I infected them with chill though.

at work, while playing zik's underground screams (track i discovered recently), this coworker, who was hearing psytrance for the first time, turns to me with a very curious look..
him:do u dope??
me: why do u ask?
him: this music is like that, it takes u places...
me: *wicked grin*
"shut it off, its making me high!!" same coworker after a little while
"HOLY SHIT! this is like a whole new dimension in music" .. a guitarist friend after hearing full on guitar tracks like mescaline, action, disco jockey etc (also a first timer)
"when will they start singing?" a (female) friend of mine
"dont u have any normal stuff, apart from this psycho music" ... same friend as above while scrolling through my ipod
it all sounds the same ... mother
my students wil die working out to this bpm .. this aerobics instructor friend of mine...she was looking for some new music and i suggested osom - becool |
