i really think 2003-2004 was an amazin year..
new sounds from osom, azax, psychotic micro, catla, fungus funk ,kdd, psykovsky, ocelot, terminator, freaking, cosmo, and many more ... total headbangers! beginning of a new era..

To me it was 1997!!!

It was not just the music, it was a whole psychedelic experience I was going through. There were also many UFO sightings in Mexico and around the world. I think that year was very mystical and groundbreaking on many levels..

99-04 had a lot of great releases imo, but there are still plenty of quality records being made today

Login, in case you were refering to me, I am well aware that we are talking about releases and when I said 1997 I was talking about YES... MUSIC released that year. Like Islan and Pavel already mentioned 1997 had some of the most GROUNDBREAKING releases, some of my very fav including:

Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger
Green Nuns Of The Revolution - Rock Bitch
Koxbox - Drangontales
Prana - Geomantik
Juno Reactor - Bible Of Dreams

and how about these others:

MFG - New Kind Of World
Technossomy - Synthetic Flesh
Shakta - Silicon Trip
Orichalcum & The Deviant - TIP records
Electric Universe - Stardiver
Space Tribe - The Ultraviolet Catastrophe
Tip Records- Infinite Excursions 2 - Sonic Hallucinations (with the first sphongle track "behind closed eyelids")

So to me.. in terms of RELEASES 1997 is hard to beat. A close second would probably be the year 1996:

Etnica - Alien protein
Total Eclipse - Violent Relaxation
Blue Room Released - Trip through sound
Cosmosis - Cosmology
Astral Projection - Trust In Trance
Doof - Let's Turn On
Various - Phosphorescent
X.Dream* - We Created Our Own Happiness
Mystery Of The Yeti

and also 1998 was an intensely psychedelic. I mean that whole period was just what for me its all about.

But like I said in my other post that for me this period was NOT JUST THE MUSIC that was blowing my mind, it was a whole cosmic psychedelic and spiritual experience I was going through at that time, seeing UFOs and having incredible awakenings!!! and to me it was all INTERRELATED with the music because the music was not only telling the story but also helping open those hyperdimensional channels.
