Tried them the other day on both Logic and Pro Tools TDM

The Eq sounds great !!!

really musical specially on the Low End

For me that eq comes close to the original wich i used to play with a few years ago...

Finally an eq with some BALLS in the native world...
wich is an amazing thing

still don't like the compressor really much...
but again this is my taste...

Too bad you can't buy the plugs on their own
and 800 dollars for the native Bundle : damn those waves people are crazy...

If you have an Ilok you can get an 8 days full demo...
wich is nice

an other good thing is that it seemed to me really cpu friendly on my dual G5

they r not crazy...... they do some serious hard work on those plugs... and a fine job u must admit.
now concidering the fact that half the world uses cracked plugins i guess they have to make a buck or two from the few original copies they sell . no ?
and besides think about it.... how much does a real ssl cost? i`m willing to bet it alot more. so is buying an compressor, gate, delay, revereb etc. i think that buying all these tools for 800$ is still cheaper than buying all those heavy metallic full of leds and knobs (what`s the word i`m looking for here?) (oh yeah! analog) analog gear.
no?
and as for this plug..... i`d realy like to hear this one.           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

for some reasons banks exist eheheh not only for ATM ehehehe

its a real expensive investment , but after u pass a wave into A COMPRESSOR HARDWARE , u will see that this money was more than well spent !!!!

attention that im talking about outher compressor hardware since this old SSL are no longer made , indeed very old teclnology , between 1984 and 1986 .

but u have some recent one indeed very good

just a investment

you must win lots of money with your releases to buy one SSL????Or you born rich ??

Even a AWS900 costs more than a top of the range VOLVO

I don't think people should compare these plugs directly to the real SSL gear before they actually hear both.
How many people do you know that have had a go with an original silver/blackface?
We've all heard this story before, a new software developer releases a new emulation of "x" hardware, makes a GUI that looks very close to the real thing and people jump saying "wow this looks great...etc...etc". Same deal with the NI and Arturia synths....they "looked" great, but sounded
Let's just wait and see/hear.

ok

I have in my School(SAE Berlin) a SSL 4000 E with 8 Chanel Strips from the G Series.

The ones that got to hear how an SSL Sounds like will know what i am talking about.
The EQ is like doing surgery.., very very accurate. The Master Copressor(Quad Compressor) Makes everything fat, with out squashing it to much.

Anyway the School ordered this Bundle last week for Our Icon Sudio(Pro Tools)
I must say the Interface is really nice.
The Overall options of Routing the EQs and Dynamics (E-Chanel Strip) are 1:1 from the real thing.
The Eqs sound really good.., they did hier a really good job.., not the same as the real one, but not far from it either.
The Compressor.....like the real!.. if it was a woman ... i would marry it !
