Can someone explain me if you can just use the sounds that comes with it, or if you can load your own samples on it(the main purpose)

you can't load your own samples into it.

can i ask why specifically you want a hardware drum machine?

i know you are from brazil, so the situation is different from you. but here in the states you can pick up a used electribe er-1 for about a hundred bucks. you still can't load your own samples, but at least you have some control over the sounds themselves and get some useful stuff out of it. or es-1 (the sampler model) for a bit more, into which you can load your own samples.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

cause i want to use it like a sampler, i prefer then using my keyboard keys

my midi keyboard has pads, but suck so much, the sens is horrible, i have to smash it with a hammer to make it work, its disgusting, and is a mpk49           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

Just get a pad controller like the Akai MPD18, M-Audio Trigger Finger-16, Korg padKONTROL, etc.

It's hard to imagine who that Alesis would be appropriate for at all..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

I think its for a church jam band.. once they're out of the acoustic phase.

If you're looking for playability this definitely isn't your machine. Those buttons are going to be ten times worse for jamming out than beating drum pads with a hammer. I saw a video of a guy using a heavy screwdriver handle to hit a drum pad just a couple days ago BTW.

in that case, craigslist.com is your best friend. as long as you stay patient and stick to your low (reasonable) price, you can buy nearly anything you want for the lowest price.

do you know that you can set different velocity curves for the pads in your MPK49? although i'd agree the pads are pretty stiff on them. they should loosen up a bit the more you use them. if you want really sensitive pads, then you should get a triggerfinger. you can probably pick one up on craigslist for around $50.

and unless you are trying to get away from computers or want something for live use/hands-on-jamming, i'd advise you to stick with software samplers and midi controllers.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance
