regarding i was warned of getting no payments...
to be correct i was informed USTA would pay a little bit money... we'are young artist and we would get good promotion with that VA..... as VA rekeased and we pointed that mistakes in cover e.t.c ,we've found topics u mentioned... and that VA from YSE where our track from USTA's comp (with incorrect names) is in...
so i open this thread..

Him expresing himself is obviously good for him, thats why he did it. You whinging about him expressing himself is what is really not helping anyone.
the artists obviously didnt expect payment, he also didnt expect to be treated like a fucking arsehole .
I gave USTA free tracks with only one condittion. that they write "licensed from sundance records"
They told me to fuck off when i asked why they didnt.

So you also provided USTA with free tracks?To get what from them?Promotion?How many copies do you think that a label like USTA sells?At least you could send your music to a better and more respected label.But after all good and respected labels dont much care if a track is free but whether the track is good or not...
Sorry guys but you all are worthy of what happened to you,in my country we got a saying that goes something like this 'Whoever gets involved with shit gets eaten by the chickens' meaning that if you try to do work with bad people then bad things will also happen to you and this seems to be the exact situation here.
Hope that many people read this topic and get educated of whats going on and how some people work in this scene on the expense of others.Thats the only lame thing i can see in here dear Franny.

Detox...I don't wanna upset u or anything but I think you're way out of line here and pickin' on the wrong people (bad-hair-day maybe   ) Not everybody is spending day and night on searching the internet to find out if a label is trustable or not, some people got better things to do like making music. And maybe the guys simply gave Zoo-b teh benefit of the doubt above many bad stories 'cause they didn't have personal experiences with him? So many stories go around the net, bad ones and good ones, about you as well as me and many others, does that mean every soul out there should straight away base their entire opinion on some stories that go around ? Get over yourself and cheer up man....this is ONLY to blame on Zoo-b and his lame-ass crew ! He's been a jerk from moment 1, only in this business for himself and his own interests and that's the only reason he's retreating himself from our scene, 'cause people here start to see (finally...wasn't that about time?) straight through his shit-act. I know stories for more than 8 years allready on this guy not paying the bills and for tracks he releases...but not everybody is hanging around in this scene for ages like you, me and many others.....so give these freaks a break. There's nothing wrong with some enthousiasm to release a tune and wanting to get their name known around. That's what EVERY artist tries after all, it's what gets the bills paid in the end if all goes well and avoids us having shit jobs from 9-5 in some shitty dusty office. My advice, chill out and stop pointing fingers at the wrong people mate...it doesn't make you look so good here....

I sympathise with Gravi, they wanted to release their tracks and they did but no money behind. Who cares, money is ephemeral, money don't mean shit.
But what sucks IMO is that the track they produced got MISLABELLED so actually what results is that all the promotion they got for their track(s) somebody else is TAKING THE CREDIT!!
This is indeed shameful and the icing on the cake is when YSE wishes to license the MISLABELLED track  Talk about rubbing salt into the wound.
@ Gravi: some advice, send your tracks to detox, he'll release em and PAY for them Won't you DETOX ? </joke> |

Shawnodese i already explained my position on the matter and i think that i was crystal clear why i both blame the artists and labels about this situation,like you said speaking like that in public isnt the best for me but sorry i never hided behind my finger and always had the courage to tell my opinion whatever that was,at least i am honest
Neuromantik i dont know if i am interested in releasing these guys music (havent heard any of their tracks anyway) but at least like you said i pay every one of my artists and in advance all the time.

I understand DETOX's point actually.
First and foremost - It's definitely label's fault for the specific case we deal with. But it cant be undone, and the CD's are already at the market and no attorney will deal with something unprofitable as this.
Second but not less important - One of the big pluses of today's world is the technology leap - thru the net u can know virtually everything about everyone. Thus, artists that care about their stuff should be more carefull about whom they deal with. I bet there are more than handfull of topics about this specific label buried here in Isratrance forum alone.

Hmmm... I agree BUT... yes there is a but, if you give a track to a label and then that label gives it to another label, in this case YSE, be sure that they GOT MONEY from it, and if then the label who you gave the track to for free, dont give you anything, WELL... i would say you got F in the A...
And otherwise i have to say that i think giving out tracks for free is bad, cause what you create is a decrease in quality of the material, more tracks free = more labels, more labels = more shit compilations, more shit compilations = less money to quality labels.
And this is the reason all the good old labels are dead... |

I know there have been many stories like this about USTA before, but I'm glad these Russian guys posted their experience ... if it saves just one more young artist from being f*cked by these assholes ... then thats great!! |

More i read Detox's comments on several topics, more i think he lives in kinda jet set psytrance world. For me he's like cautionning, supporting all the bad labels; kinda representative of bad headlabels, Detox is the Ernest-Antoine Sellière of the psytrance |
