This is what happens when people who BADLY want to release their 'music' give their tracks here and there just to see their name on a cd backcover.

Half the blame on the label and half the blame on the artists so you guys sort this out in private and save us from another USTA/Spliff Music/Israel Cheese Factory Label issue dealing with bad masterings, awfull covers, wrong tracklists, delayed payments and non existent royalties.

Sorry guys but we really had enough of this shit.

totaly agree!

For the amount of money owed in these dealings it's never going to make sense getting lawyers involved... doesn't that mean contracts are theoretically pointless? It's for peace of mind I guess... but if no one would actually back it up in the courts, the only thing left is the court of public opinion. I think that's what we're seeing with all these artist-label dispute threads.

make music, make music and make music. and just left everything behind you.... people do have different experiences with the same label, thats the way it is. go into your studio, make a "fat bastard" gabba track and the world looks nice again. with the quality of production, quality labels will come automaticly.

Colin just browse this and other forums and you will find many stories from spamming mails and sms to ripped off artists and customers who bought tickets for some festivals abroad.

I am still on 56k line so not easy to start browsing around using isratrance search system.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Speak for yourself Detox.
i for one think these voices should be heard,no matter how many times.
It is true that some of the fault is on the young and eager artists, who just want to release a track and become recognized, sometimes paying a dear price for that.
But be that as it may,as long as these lables keep fucking up the people, this is the place to write about it.
Maybe isratrance should consider a public issues/complaints section hehe ,this issue seems to be going around alot lately.

Anyways the truth must be heard no matter if it is repetitive and boring to some.

So if u had enough of this shit, move on to the next thread.

The only truth is that most young 'artists' dont give attention to where they give their music and ofcourse dont give a damn about any contract at all.

All they care about is releasing their music and become famous and get money from gigs and releases plus a blue status on this forum.

They dont care much if they receive money from labels such as USTA and Spliff they just care to see their name somewhere and by doing that they keep 'supporting' these labels in their own way and keep fucking all the rest labels that try for something better in this small scene.

And if you ask me Israel is the most problematic country on the planet concerning this issue and the main reason that the market is fucked up today.

And trust me you dont want to see a public issues/complaints section on this forum cause then the people will learn a lot of whats going around and about 'bigger labels' sabotaging smaller labels or labels from the same country telling to promoters and artists from abroad that 'if you work with them then you cant work with me' not to mention the war between all the internet psy trance shops and distributions.I am preety sure though that you know all this stuff since you are into this scene more years than i am.

There is a lot of bigger shit going on in the scene so like i said no time to spend on young people who instead of focusing on improving their music they fuck up this small scene in their own way and then they got the nerve to come up on this forum and even complain that 'X and Y label fucked us up'.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

i think this issue is a bit more complex then some are trying to present it as here. almost like a chicken or the egg paradox in some ways... there are more variables to the equation.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

What's wrong with people learning the truth about the business side of the trance scene?

Oh yes, I get it, it's FEAR, isn't it... it's fear of the repercussions of blowing the whistle that lets these people continue their abuses of trust and power. It's the fear that you won't get booked in a particular country; the fear that you won't get your tracks released or the fear that distributors won't stock your product. Perhaps a naming of names would help the situation - or is it beyond any possibility of change?

On the public side we have PLUR; on the business side PLUR can be a fucking joke*. Will the real trance scene please stand up? It can't be healthy when the stated ideals of a group of people are totally contradicted by their actions in private.

*Just want to say for balance that there are many good, honest labels and promoters out there who really do care about the best interests of the scene as a whole.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Colin at least i hope you understand that i dont fall under the FEAR category since i already said too much in this topic something that is not the best for me and my small label.

And by the way like you also suspect i cant also see things changing in the near future.

Not easy to beat the system you know and many people find it easier to be part of it rather than fight it.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

thanks all the ppl viewing / replying this thread..
all opinions have a place to be..
yes... we are young artists... detox 's right its important for us to c our names on cover and the point of that VA (united nations of trance:russia) was to promote young russian artists for the worldwide scene.... we were warned we woulndt get paid (trully we havent hoped we get paid) but USTA releases had good distribution....

and what a promotion we got (((

the sheer arrogance of a person trying to blame victims of a crime for the crime.
Thats not coming form your heart, its insensitive & selffish.

they ripped me off, didnt even write that they licensed it from me, (sundance records ) and when i asked the USTA representative he told me to p$ss off, they do what they want to .

sorry detox, blaming the artist clearly is a product of fear. even if its just fear of compassion.

Sorry Franny but Gravizapa the person who opened this thread proved me 100% right just three minutes before your last post.

Does Gravipaza look like a victim to you? What kind of victim gets warned to not drink from this glass of water because its poisoned but still he drinks because he is thirsty?

I feel sorry for your situation Franny but on this particular case i am once again proven 100% right directly from the person that complained about USTA.

And by the way like i am saying here from my first post,i dont just blame the artists but i split the blame to both them and the labels.

Dear Gravipaza i trully understand your need for promotion but your actions even unintentionally ruin our small scene because even if you didnt want to you really supported labels like USTA who count on your thirst for promotion to release shitty cds with zero expenses and sell some hundreds copies that could easily be sold by other better labels that trully care of whats going on.Next time spend more time on improving your music instead of opening such topics and slowly but steadily your talent and effort will be recognised.

I think that this topic should be pinned on top for the younger artists to see, think and learn.          Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!
