After four months of intensive work it's done - mushroom's and Chaishop's new magazine...
The Trancers Guide to the Galaxy- is out!
The Trancers Guide to the Galaxy is the travelling trancer’s friend. It’s a new annual overview about the galaxy’s trance-infected destinations. On 56 full-color pages it bursts of information to review, choose and enjoy alien trance worlds. The 27 country profiles contain general info as well as trance related history, artists, labels, parties, shops, links, contacts ... It is spiced up with amazing photos from the countries. On top it contains a calendar to stay ”up-to-trance” all the time!

And where's Denmark in that guide?
The reason why Denmark is not represented is because the people behind the guide did nothing else but asking questions about drugs in the danish scene. No intelligent questions and no interest in the music ect. Only drugs !
So the danish guys (mainly certain label guys)stoped the "interview" about Denmark. A shame but in my opinion the right decision.
I think the people behind the guide should shape up their acts and do it properly next time. After all Denmark is a major player in the scene and have been a part of the scene almost from day one. |

I seem to remember that there was a pretty open invite to submit stuff.
I do a bit of writing for another magazine and had thought about doing a piece about the UK trance scene outside London - but due to other commitments (and a bit of slackness...) never quite got around to it - so only got myself to blame.
I'm sure if anyone wanted to write a piece about their own country - the magazine would have been very interested in it. |

Well in the case of Denmark I can only tell you what I know and here the situation was that they asked a few label guys about drugs - nothing else. They did not invite anyone else to contribute with information. I have this from reliable sources.

From what you say, it seems a shame about Denmark not being represented.
Personally i think it is you guys that are producing the best quality trance out at the moment. But if all they wanted to know was about the drug scene then maybe they don't really like trance at all.
Oh well might just have to take a look anyway |

i just wanted to add some info about Denmark....
I am Nanda Foto Director for the Trancers Guide to the Galaxy alias TTG and I know closer reasons. but... i will be polite and i must say... Denmark Promoters, never answered to our emails about profiles. latter on. the different issues deppartment start to make they job asking things, possible also a bit abstract, but in the way. nobody semt to be interested in our project. Saddenly we have some dates to work on it. so... we can´t wait: all year: or invent a great history about the scene up there. ...
We still have the chance to include something about Denmark in our version online. but if the beahivior of some promoters of the scene it dosnt change... welll... difficult to work like that. and dont mist understand. We respect a lot theh music/Art work from there. but we must to understand the changes of this scene deppend from us. so.. we must start from us. better be participative and say something more clever. you want to help??? you know the history of the scene in Denmark??????
write to us.. or comunicate about it, maybe something coming out from that.
my best and Respect to the Global Scene!

Well, Italy is not too, obvious reasons though...we do other things better...(actually I've read an article today: in the Top100 Wine Makers, 19 are Italians as written in the "La Revue du Vin de France")
(sad for hardworking labels such as Neurobiotic, Magma, some party promotions and shit loads of funny and friendly people in the Italian scene)

Sorry for repeating my previous post - and I've got absolutely no connection with chaishop or mushroom mag - but the chaishop mailout about a year ago asked for contributions from anyone who fancied writing them - so *anyone* could submit an article. The mag wasnt some massive big budget operation with loads of paid writers- it just depended on people contributing.
So for anyone/countries who were left out - why not write a piece about your country for the next (if there is one) magazine?

I'm with John: e.g. in latest Mush Mag, May edition, Macedonia and Czech Republic were aditionally presented with their countries' psy-reports. So that could be the general reason, some writers exceeded a deadline for TTG so that's why reports of some countries are missing. There's still the time. And yeah, is great to have a guide like this, to help you while travelling around the Trance Globe. Peace! |
