we have added two very interesting presentations to the festival lineup!

> Mayan Time Science - An in depth look into the time
> keeping techniques and numerical system of the Maya,
> focusing on the Tzolkin, Haab, Long Count, and the
> Great Cycle of Thirteen Baktuns. To the temple
> building humans of the Yucatan, art was a way of
> venerating the gods who ruled over cycles of time. To
> know the gods was to know time.... to know time was to
> know the past and future. Precise observations and
> calculations were made to determine when to grow
> crops, when to store food, when to build, and when to
> celebrate. Decipherment of non-calendrical hieroglyphs
> will also be discussed.
>
> presentation by Esiris Kayab Lyons
> Saturday Afternoon
>

> Rise of Ancient Civilizations - How, when and why did
> early humans scatter themselves across the planet to
> invent strikingly similar art, language, and
> architecture? Why is it that nearly all indigenous
> cultures share the same religious and mythological
> archetypes? Is there a common factor? What information
> has been uncovered in various fields of research to
> make sense of this? Have Secret Societies sought to
> control this information? Is the awareness of these
> things leading to a culmination point? The answers to
> these questions and more....
>
> presentation by Shad Marquitz

awesome. completely and utterly awesome.

the land was rich and gorgeous, the music wonderful, and the people surreal.

those asheville folks are something else - why aren't there more people like that in the world??

wish you could have come man!

im about 95% speechless.
neptunalia was better than my dreams and manifest meditations.
all the people were incredible and formed a giant mind matrix that we all got to play in for the weekend. it was my intent to create a space for spritual rebirth and sacred dance in community.... that was only the smallest fraction of summary of what we were all witness to, something special and unexplainable.
afaik there were people from NC, TN, VA, GA, MA, NY, NJ, PA, OH, IN, IL, CO, TX, MS, CA, MD, DC, KY, AL,
infinite gratitude to ALL kin who attended and made our festival so magical.
amazing sets on both stages thru the weekend made it hard to sleep, i was inspired and moved by so many intense interactions and visions!
we were already invited back for next year by the landowners and basically the whole thing went off without trouble. security told me it was the chillest bunch of folks they had ever seen. thanks to everyone for thier impeccable conduct. (except the cigarette butt throwers --- TSK TSK! )
i spent a week on location and still my head is not on correctly even after a good nights sleep.
i hope to come back and have more to say soon.
pics are now up on www.touchsamadhi.com gallery.

again, thanks to all who supported, performed, attended, enjoyed, swam, grooved, stomped, cheered, danced, smiled, glowed, and humbled me beyond my wildest visions. we are the future.
boom to your mama

If this is happening again next year, I'll be there. Found out about it too late this year.
