man, i think u need to get a cymbal with a big room sized reverb insert on !
try out the adjusting the reverb time to a big level to |

very important to start with very clean crash.. i find 90% of them to have some dirt and thats hard to remove.. find the perfect one and add alot of wet reverb so it gets smoother and not too aggresive.. for aggression sometimes i prefer very short crash and long filtered noise as the looong fadeout

Yeah the original sample is extremely important and the quality of the reverb also helps.
If i have time i will do a video on this but at the moment i am concentrating on my synthesis course to try and have it ready for end of december.
