This may not completely fit into your course, but perhaps recommendations for optimizing a computer for maximum sound production capability might be useful to many new people.

How can I make a kickdrum roll that speeds up, using a sampler?

with image lines direct wave you can automate loop point adjustment ... pretty neat
no need to change the pitch!

the questions that come to my mind this times are like how to bounce correctly? Not simply bounce a midi file. What iss about when you have routed to groups ,from stereo to mono in midi slots with inserts and (sends(routed to another synths)) maybe side chained here and there.Than on vsti channel some effects ,eq etc.And this on two channels.. how to bounce correctly? Atleast take the side chainer out I guess..than ungroup and group later of wtf.. I know funny one,I have to spend some time with this funny one.
Its not as interesting like makin a tutorial for bouncing but if than maybe even considerating rms etc
Wish you all the best for Cubase Guru !

So long as you use the cliche elements in new and interesting ways, as many as you can cram in.

Using old tools in new ways is what entrepreneurs (and artists) are all about.

Partially. As I'm on Live, I needed to redesign the whole process. I ended up using a crash controlled SC compressor on the same but reverbed crash sample. This sounds OK so far but I can hear some better ones in pro tracks           Making what you want with what you have
