How do I make those silent sounds I only hear on the dance floor when surrounded by goblins?

Also when making a layered bass whats the best method for crossing them over without sounding to muddy or too scooped in the middle?

How to make a crisp, bright crash cymbal sound with a looooooong fade. So often I can hear this and it's really not easy to make a decent one.

You can put a slight delay or reverb on the crash with an attack or fade-in on the effect so the first few milliseconds are not that muddled, and the tail end of the fade is extended greatly.

Thanks for the tip! Which delay unit would you recommend for this? I'm using Bionic and there is no attack or fade-in in it. Do you automate the feedback then? With delay I can surely extend the crash sound but the tail is pulsating, not what I really want.           Making what you want with what you have

In Cubase, most plugins allow you to affect the file not in realtime, that is, by right clicking and selecting the plugin from the menu. If you click on the More Details... button at the bottom of the plugin UI, it will give you fade in/out options. Another way to do it is to automate the wet/dry meters.

That goes for reverbs also.

One way to do it with delay is to use a very very short delay, so the "pulses" are close enough together so as to simulate a reverb effect. In this case I've found that it's best to have the wet signal lower than the dry signal. That's certainly not the only way to do it though, just what's worked for me in the past.

It might help to put a low pass or high pass filter before the delay, in this case, with the wet knob rather low, and using the same wet/dry automation technique or by right-clicking as described above.

My personal favorite delay is FabFilter Timeless 2.

Hope that helps

+1 on counterpoint

but i need to buy all the course to get the arrangement videos right?

I think you should let ppl buy individual sections of the course, you dont need to sell it for the right price, i mean, take 50 that is the price and divide by the number of course, no. You can just sell each section for $10 for those who want just individual sections, that way who buys all the course for $50 will still be in advantage...

Just IMO tought..
