Someone here mentioned that texas faggot and all suomi artists use fruity loops.
Just want to confirm if this is true or not. If it's not, what do they use that makes it sound like that? Is their production sound intentional? Why don't they use the same composing/production tools as other psytrance artists?
I love the music, but if they're intentionally trying to sound like it's produced on demo shareware software and mastered through a mic stuffed under the sofa, it's kind of dissapointing. The music could be great if it was better sounding. (I know that's open to taste and debate)

you must understand nordic people before you say anything like this...
and about production tools.. well, if you got knowledge then its just a tool, which your ideas will shine through..
many psy acts use FL studio...
today i even heard that some very famous hiphopper use FL studio..

I am not a big fan of the soumi sound but i gotta hand it to them they do squeezy every bit of sound they can from FL and i will never forget seeing timo preforming with this little synth a microphone and a computer just playing totally live music....
Bottom line, if they wanted to use cubase and produce it clearer they would of done it...
keep on making music |

The best live set i ever saw was by Flying Scorpions (Texas Faggot et al.) and i didn't care that the soundquality wasn't 100%. These guys were just pumping out pure psychedelic energy. Cogito Ergotamine yeahyeahyeah !!!

-truely is open debate.. i think its beautifull and have great sound.
for example - squaremeat,haltya,and yes also texas faggott got very unique sound. may be not clear as astrix but it sure is what they want to do.

for me.. the distorted sound is great.. no better leads then timo's 
may be its not top quality but it still is most original and beautifull safisticated msuic i heard in the last 5 years.
haltya on the other hand got sound not less then most proggressive today.. but some of the rest can sound pritty horrible.
and yes true, texas faggott,squaremeat,haltya,kiiwa,eareser & yojalka.. was at live and did sound better then all the others mostly
salakavala tho was pritty painfull to my ears.
ohh yeah.. and there is that mp3 original cd thingo  nothing that realesed on exogenic sound bad.

hey sundrop amigo !! thanks a lot for ur comment , well my heart still goes to suomi , but well i love really lot fo atyles of music so thats the way , most of my tracks gonna sound fdiferretn styles often , ,

No way that Texas Faggott uses only fruity loops. I hear lots of real analog synth in their tracks.
I think their tracks seriously vary in production quality. Some tracks are really nicely produced and some really bad. I have a suspicion that that they are sometimes really stoned or on acid when they produduce. And they just value the music/the moment higher than the sound wich i think is cool and that is what meakes them so special. |

I played at a show recently, there were 2 suomi artists I spoke with them for a while, both used fruity loops as their sequencer, but this doesn't necessarily mean that this is all they use. |

yeah haltya have great sound , most exogenic stuff infact , agree with tsabeat there . the other `bad` sounding stuff is some of the psyest music in the world so its cool , even charming
