http://www.bigtone.de/ -> "equipment"
I reckon they really like its sound - or need dozens of supersaws.

It IS a very usefull synth. If i had the money i would definetly prefere to have more than one instead of using it in multimode (i really hate using synths multitimbrally).
Hey check out their custom Juno-106 rack!

IMO multitimbrality is the way to use hardware synths. I always have dozens of fx sounds and whatnot going on in tracks and I hate using program change messages. Not that 16 parts is much, so I prefer using softsynths, because they are easier to manage and you can use lots of them if you have enough CPU power.

Buying Virus (or any other larger synth) and NOT using it multitimbrally would be just waste of money and dsp resources!
Of course it depends how you use your synths (live/studio etc), but at least Virus C is so easy to use in multi mode (even without separate editor soft) that I don't see why not to use it.
BTW, Virus a/b/c/classic does not have supersaw Virus TI has one, but it's called hypersaw. |
