Dear Friends.
There has been much speculation and questions about the Gaian Mind Summer Festival and Gaian Mind happenings in Philadelphia. We apologize for the delay in communicating our current status.
As many of you already know, the Gaian Mind Summer Festival in its incarnation of the past 8 years will not be happening. What is happening with Gaian Mind? We have been in a state of flux as Allen & Sharon, the principal producers in Gaian Mind have both been away from the Philadelphia area for a number of years and are actively pursuing the Gaian Mind vision where they live.
Allen is living in Florida and is working to create Gaian Mind events in that area of the country. His job with RCS Event Production keeps him active in the world of live event production and provides access to a huge amount of event services including staging, lighting & sound.
Sharon is living in Colorado and is working to create Gaian Mind events there. With the extended Gaian Mind Family already in Colorado ~ many who have played an active role in creating past Gaian Mind Summer Festivals ~ we are happy to say that Gaian Mind events will begin this summer. Gaian Mind will be collaborating with Native Circuit (http://nativecircuit.com/) to produce Vayeb, a 'Day Out of Time' Festival (July 23 - 25) being held in a beautiful new location in the San Luis Valley in Colorado. (This fantastic location is located half way between Denver and Santa Fe/Albuquerque.) Gaian Mind Colorado is also collaborating with Satori Science to produce a monthly tribal/prog night, Loka Lounge, beginning in May.
As Gaian Mind is so much more than Allen and Sharon, the Philadelphia Family is still actively participating in all things Gaian Mind. Those in Philadelphia have found a new venue to call home for the Gaian Mind monthlies. Look for an announcement soon regarding this. Some of the members of Gaian Mind are collaborating with members from PSI, PEX, Light-o-Matic, Psybotik, Rizumu and Kontakt to create the Coalescence Coalition. The Coalesce Festival will be held at Ramblewood this summer, June 11 -13. (www.coalescefest.com)
All things change and evolve. We are extremely excited about how this evolution is occurring within Gaian Mind. Hope to see you on a dance floor soon!
