Pantelhs,
Your second question is easy. Nearly every such dialogue in Sonar has a little checkbox at the bottom. It says "Don't ask this question again" or something like that. Just check it and it won't ask any more.
You can always change the settings later if you need to. Usualy in the Options menu.
Your first question is more difficult as I don't use drum maps. I use the piano roll in the regular format even when I am doing drums. (The reason being I often want to be able to decide wether I play the whole sample or let it be cutoff early by the NOTE_OFF message that is sent when a MIDI note finishes).
When using the regular piano roll settings you can just hover your mouse over the end of the velocity bar and drag it up or down. If you have multiple stacked notes, you can select a single note and it will adjust that note's velocity when you hover over the velocity line.
There must be something similar when using drum maps. I seem to recall there is a setting somewhere "Show velocity tails" or something like that. Maybe that helps.
dtd,
I hadn't seen you question in this thread. Sorry for the very late response!
Anyway, what is wrong with bouncing the audio clips? If it is just a workflow habit issue then I can't help you. But if there is a technical reason, I might be able to help you with a solution, a suggestion or a work arround for that.

PS: 6.2 rocks. I really love the new X-ray feature. Great stuff! I need to go and play a bit with the new input quantize to see if that is usefull or not...

Thank you, Undertow (I was sure you would asnswer first, you Sonar maniac!)
I am new to sonar and i find it very, very good especially with loops management and record timing.
But midi editing wants enhancements. I understood the velocity thing you explained but i find it time-consuming. There must be a way (or they must add a way) to change same pitch notes' velocity alltogether (when there are multiple stacked notes) like drawing a line or a shape (see cubase for that).
Velocity tails in drum maps is smart but has to get somehow easier to draw velocity in many notes at once.
But my main problem is that suddenly sonar 6.2 started crashing complaining about msvcr80.dll. I have messed up my PC and now planning to install tinyXP and see if this bug persists.
PS1:Yes, the x-ray is innovative and useful, and input quantize had to be there.
PS2:No, i didn't mean the dialogs with checkboxes
If you select a clip and press Ctrl+C / Ctrl+P a dialog will appear, with no checkbox. I have search all around the options but i can't find how to enable/disable that.
