Get the dvd and decss it. You can post-process it.           Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

i too support the DVD/DIVX rips, but that's harder for people to do. it's easier to take a pre-ripped sample, clean it up some and your good to go. besides, many sample sites improved greatly and you can find many audible samples, 16 bit one's, too.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. I use my internal dvd player..winplayer minimized and sound forge 6 open in the background...watch the levels arm for recording the locate the area of the movie you want ..start it alittle before and alittle after..then edit the captured sounds..
save and bring into logic...works badass with my 24 /96 Delta 66...good sounds ..Peace

If we're into the subject, how do I extract a sound out of a movie? Sound Forge can't open the file and I'm sure there is a better way that playing and recording simultanously.

Try FlaskMPEG with DeCSS plugin. You will extract the AC3 soundtrack from the movie, and you can save it to wav with VobDec or other FlaskMPEG plugin.

Anyway read the www.divx-digest.com video and audio extraction guides, since DiVX is using MP3 as sound layer.           Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

The problem with divx is that the sound is stereo. In ac-3 the vocals are usually in the center channel. In stereo you also get noises other than vocals, which are unwanted.
