How is this instrument called? What kind of flute is it?
I am very curious, because I just LOVE the flute!!
Shpongle uses it a lot..
Flute Fruit (entire track)
Saudade Part II (entire track)
The Sixth Revelation (0:00 and 2:34 )
Vapour Rumours (1:31)
A New Way To Say Hooray (5:15)
Behind Closed Eyelids (3:14 and 8:20)
My Head Feels Like A Frisbee (6:35)
and of course the flute's in their tracks a lot more
I think I also recognized it in a Shulman track and in an OTT track but I am not entirely sure....
Can someone please tell me what this instrument is called? Pretty pleeeease ;-) |

A normal flute? No....it would sound too clean and high
A bansuri (indian bamboo flute from the north)?
A venu (indian flute from the south)? I think it's one of those two.
But: bansuri or venu?
Hey, can anybody help on this?

Well Vlip Psyde, in french, you see, the word isn't related to its material..
It's called a flute "traversière" .. because one plays it "on the beam" ..
(I hope it is understandable... like ehm.. crosswise !! something like this..)

Yeah,like "flauta traversa" in spanish.
A normal flute,basically.
