The shining center of the universe (part 1)

I've decided to write some stuff about certain moments and ideas about the trance world, just for the sake of putting them in writing, because I don't see that anyone else has done this, and because I believe that some things should be described. I'm no Hemmingway, and my knowledge is that of an individual, but I'll try and describe some of the more special things about the trance world every now and then.

Here we go, Part 1:

... as the sun rises, the traditional line of party goers stands to see the sunrise from the best spot on the hill, chillums pop up everywhere. Some people already don't talk, after hours of going crazy on the dancefloor with the mind numb from the... high volume on the sound system. After a dark night, looking at people but not really seeing them under the harsh UV lights in the madness of the night, suddenly you look around, and you see a colorful group of people, smiling, dancing. From ages 16 to 36 (and somethimes below and above that), all moving together, dancing with the music, not just with eachother, but with the entire tribe.

Someone hands you a chillum and you smoke, or not, look next to you at the line of people there, enjoying the sunrise, the beauty of nature, the magic of the moment. Enjoying the most basic things. Alone and yet as a part of the group. Something pure. During that moment, there is no such thing as age, race, gender. It's not unity in the normal way people feel it, like a sports team or a political party or whatever. It's something more primal, more naive. Unity that doesn't opress individualism. That moment will define if the party was good or not. That one moment when you think to yourself "look at all this around me. This truely amazing".

From the first time I was in one of those lines at a party (some five years ago now) until today, these are the moments that I remember most from parties. The early retrospect of what is going on, that moment when you first stop and think about the whole thing. It's a special feeling that I've found only in one place - outdoor trance events. Not the festivals, not the labels, not even the artists, for me, this is the shining center of the trance universe.

Beautiful. Nice to read.
I'm also writing quite a lot (as you probably noticed), and I have my archives.
In the new Isratrance (coming very soon) we'll have an articles section, I'll be happy if you send me your writings- we might publish them.           ---------------------------------------------

I often stop and think "this is truly amazing" when I'm dancing and everyone around me is smiling and jumping and there's a happy feeling all around us. I love those moments.           When I dance, I put myself in the DJ's hands to take me to a journey - the unconscious journey to reality

i enjoyed that
though its bad i didn't get to have one of those moments since my expirience in outdoor parties (and trance parties in general) is quite poor.
anyway, this sure make me wanna go to a good party sometime. lately, i was starting to think that these kinds of things are long gone.
