There is a small secret to the sound that gives you the drive and the emotion that you get from listening to an acid line - wether in any genre of music - specially psy trance...
and the secret is: cut-off!
god damned it! just let the cut-off grow on the tb303, that's all you need to wake up.

but still I was amphasizing the cut off and it's effect on my emotional system of the brain. might not be a tb303 related even.

Yes, this is the instrument that (almost) single handedly created a whole culture in the mid 80's.
Just to imagine that the idea behind the device was to immitate a reall bass player.

wasn't the 303 supposed to sound like a bass-guitar..but it fucked up really bad and gives this sound that doesn't come near a bass-guitar.

Its one of the sad things about the progression of psy trance that there are very few bubbling developing into screaming acid lines any more!
Even acid techno doesnt have many acid lines in it, and acid trance seems to be on its way out - Chocis in london - the home of acid trance - has shut down 
Bring back acid lines!! |
