And that is a taster for the upcoming album, which should be out in september.
There were some raving reviews on this 12".
And there'll also be a Mumbo Jumbo album later this year.

Cosmosis - one of the best..
Trivia - the first album of Cos. was made by 2 guys - that it was their only album,
and the next 2 albums was made by
Bilbo Baggines - That's a strange thing that till now I can't understand..

Trivia answer:
They parted ways, simple as that, Bilbo Bagginz (William Bryan "Bill" Halsey) remained as Cosmosis, Jeremy "Jerry" Van Kampen went on to produce as Laughing Buddha (whose whereabouts I know nothing these days).

Trivia 2 for anyone reading:
nothing more natural than the aptly named Bilbo Bagginz using samples from the hit movie "Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring". Question: does he use any in these two tracks on 12"?
and just to complement it, has anyone used samples from that movie?

i want to see the evolution of cosmosis. for me the best evolution in this year was logic bomb with a killer album the unlimited. and the next album is going to be much better. Great evolution!

The last cosmosis album was little bit dissapointing and i don't like that much the Mumbo Jumbo stuff they released lately. But let's hope for the best.

To answer my own question: YES!! just heard samples of Alien Project - The Ring and obviously he uses samples of the great Gandalf speaking...

Luiz, there is an Alrune track called 'Ringen' which uses samples from the old cartoon version of lord of the rings.

That's not the trivia answer - because Blibo Baggines Wasn't in the ORIGINAL FIRST COSMOSIS ALBUM !!!

well actually Luiz, it is quite hard 2 get a good sample from the movie, simply because it wasnt released on DVD yet, but i am sure that we can expect sth from GMS soon....hehe

the american version (NTSC) is gonig 2 b released around the end of next week, and the Israeli version (Pal) is going 2 b released a week or 2 later....

i think he is getting better and better...
really like the mumbo-jumbo stuff !!
cosmosis always have this uniqe hi-energy psy-disco groove, along with clean suprising sounds...
just can't wait !!! |
