I don't know Vegetal. Even though my thoughts and taste is what one would call subjective, I like to imagine that my subjective taste is ..( hmm. .. bear [spelling?] with me here. ) Objective? . Not objective that it’s universal, that it is the only truth, but that my taste in psychedelic trance music has turned more to the objective taste .. Maybe wrong word, but right thought imo. - Æsj, sorry man, but it's really hard to put into words what I feel here. Because words are always received by the reader in an ultra subjective fashion. People seem to have troubles seeing things in the more (still wrong word?) objective angle.

Thank you, but I can’t accept a big compliment like that.
Please send it to Aluxe instead
I've slept 5 hours this weekend and been working now since my plane arrived 07:30 this morning. So haha my head is spinning of tierdness, seeing spirals on the wall infront of me - So exuse me if my reply seems off-topic to your post.

Id say its naive to claim that just because of the fact that the dj/artist knows psychedelics, he gives you a better trip. |
|
Naïve, I really don’t understand how you (an experienced person within the world of psychedelics(?)) can claim that it’s naïve to believe that a person who knows the world of psychedelics can properly give me a better trip then a person without this experience? For me it’s saying that I should go to school and be thought by teachers that don’t know the subject (even though this is the sad reality of many of our schools/teachers) – If you can not see my point of view on this, then I’m sceptic of you and your understanding.

I´d say it all comes down to if you and the dj shares the same taste in music. If you do then you both embark on a very nice journey togheter in the sun dawn like two pixie fairys on Absinth. |
|
Of course, if the DJ plays only music that I personally adore and love. But 9 out of 10 of these DJ’s is experienced in the world of magic. And that’s properly why I and him/her share music taste.

I do, but I promise you one thing. Skazi feels uncomfortable on magic, and that’s why he berries his head in chemicals. It’s so much easier to deal with. I don’t know about you.

But "IMHO" lol , i say your pointing your finger at the wrong suspect.
You can have the greatest music you could ever wish for , fuck, why not let psykowsky play a 24 hour set just for you at the party , now it would make you feel pretty good psytones, but at the same time you are surrounded by anabolic coke sniffers who start fights all around you.
Not a good trip right even thou the music is good.

What, I didn’t get it? What do you mean?

I agree with psytones i would also like to have the dj/Live act to be a person who has experienced a psychedelic experience more than once as i am sure he will give me a better trip than someone who is just there to look good while he is playing! I have experienced many times this happening in festivals like you get a good moment than some Dj comes in and wacks it all out and it's not a joke, these are serious things for people who go for this reason...I'd say that we need some spiritual moments in this scene as it is long lost...
my humble opinion
p.s. vegetal when i say we it means me and my many friends here in malta who are on the same music frequency of life thanks to trance music...
  Boom :)

I can't help finding that comment very judgemental and closeminded. I have seen many "trippy" dj's with huge blownup ego's and indeed dj's trying to be all cool and "looking good". I don't think any drug use / abuse will change that. On the contrary I have seen more druggy ego-trippers than straight dj's. And that also apply outside the dj/artist group of dedicated drug users.
This whole debate is getting a bit to much about what some of you who do drugs (and belive everybody else should too in order to understand "true" psy music) think is reality instead of facts. And the facts are that it got nothing to do with drugs and all to do with being able to communicate with the crowd plus some basic knowledge about music, dj technique and not less lot's of experience. And excuse me but my 14 years of DJ'ing has thought me that the more fucked you are on drugs incl. LSD the less the majority of druggy dj's know how to communicate. Also while playing!

I like to add shortly that any friend of mine who got so caught up in the importance of the trips versus music understanding etc. would get this advice from me:
"Try and take a year off the drugs and see how much your perspective of things change when you start to realise there's a whole wonderful world out there that does not need to be looked at through colored glasses in order to be beautiful"
