all though i dont agree that "psychedelic" drugs and "psychedelic" trance is a "must" together........
lets be real here........
the vast majority of people involved in partaking in the party.......either as a party goer or as an artist.....consume drugs........and these drugs whether you like it or not..........have played a huge role in the production of many "psychedelic" trance tracks.......
once again........i am not advocating that it is necessary to consume psychotropic drugs in order to enjoy the music or produce it........
just that it has a very large influence in this scene.......
so.......just drop it......
we know both of your opinions now......for the 5th time now....

Exactly this is what i mean that big part of this music is through psychedelic that is why it's called this way also and really say this from my hearth, i prefer music made with an intention to make you feel better this is my opinion...Everybody has a right to express himself through music and other besutiful things in life, some people go to a party just for having fun, i prefer to go to a party and enjoy dancing to music that i beleive is spiritual and that through experience made my life happier and better...It all depends what you want to beleive! You create your own world and you decide how you like it!

one more thing i have to say..
if i like to make track , with samples from satan himself , party , promoter invite me to play , and peaple come to hear and dance , i guess then satan's quote works just fine
dont forget peaple today know the line up , and know what it stands for .

Nice words Soul Kontakt. To bad some people see things in pure black and white. Neuromantik, i have always respected you in this place. But the comment you wrote is blindfolded. You know that Soul Kontakt doesn't say that YOU HAVE TOo use drugs (psychedelics) to enjoy psy-trance. He doesn’t say that you are all wrong. there is a balance. And is it so hard to understand that with a single experience of IE. LSD you will better understand what a trippy/psychedelic understanding is? At least, you, yes you who claims to have experienced trips should understand this. Incredible that one have to actually defend the use of psychedelic substances in a scene created by psychedelic substances. If people believes that people like me or Soul HAVE to use drugs to enjoy the music, then be my guest and be that blind. Maybe people like "us" even enjoys the music EVEN MORE then you wankers (with or without the “drug”)! Who the fuck knows, how do you know? - your all so fucking holy, go to bed. To be honest, it's people like you that slowly destroys this scene. A virus does not acknowledge it self to be a virus.

Uhh well yes actually, there are plenty of psychedelic experiences one can experience without chemically induced ones.
Listen, I didn't say anything to Soul Kontakt except that he overuses certain stereotypes in already fragmented scenes. I know plenty of goth kids who do LSD at parties and reggae heads who don't smoke... I never said that "drugs are bad" and all that crap (I've probably ate my weight in mushroom and cannabis  ) but I truly believe that experiencing psychedelics is NOT REQUIRED to making psychedelic music.
That doesn't mean that all artists are exempt. Some do better with substances, there is no arguing that. Metallica for instance, after going completely sober, released St. Anger, which sucks in every way possible.
I simply don't see how one implies the other. |

You guys are losing it IMHO....
Noone is taking that substance is essential or not essential, it's about a 'better experience'..... & i agree, that a 'better experience' with Trance Music is when induced with a psychedelic substance & it implies for both the parties i.e. DJ & Listener...............

I had a so called "bad" trip this weekend. Know what happened? My terrible confidence smacked me in the face and told me to straighten up - I was hurting inside - luckely I had a good friend with me who "understands" me (long story, but..). Bad trips are as good trips. They come if needed. You got to take good with the bad, light with the dark. Ying with the yang. But to the question imo. .. yes. If your "bad" trippin', you can't excacly blame it on the "drug", can you? |

Many different people have gathered inside this scene it would be very difficult to play music that all will enjoy. Although when the real music is played nobody talks and everbody dance!
The thing is if you are a dj and you have never experienced a psychedelic experience you can very well play a nice dj set but when you have had many many many experiences you can play a nice psyhcedelic experience not only in the tracks played but but even you, your energy is more connected to everything around you!
