Yes we know that the hippys came to goa in the 60's or whatever.. and thats where it all started from.. i have seen last hippy standing as well. thank you.
However, this thread is about the roots of the rise in international artists coming to parties in india.. i mean those swiss chalet parties, way back in the 90's - when and how did it all begin? what places? we know hill top and blah blah of goa.. but what about the rest of india? who were among the first artists to visit? the first orgs?

first people to visit n play would be goa gil , byzhugt , theo , jorg kessler (shiva shidapu ) and then to come in were artists from uk and israel and scandinavian countries

I think he was the guy who started making parties in bbay in the early 90s. He is still around, smiling and happy

In India...psytrance is history! psy trance evolution has been stunted. Free people are being busted, have been and if you go by the history of things they will be for sure.
But with regards to the baba mentioned.. heard some stories from old timers, some is partly true. Many gathering were held around the beach areas of surburban mumbai, which the new generation will mostly never see.
