I just had a lot of fun listening, and watching, all those goa classic tracks in ¨The classics thread¨. I loved it so much that I want you to help to me remember all those great tunes that were a hit BEFORE (around 1990) goa came around, and that influenced goa-trance afterwards. It will be good to help young modern producers to know where their beloved psy (and its branches) really came from. An important note: before the word TRANCE was adopted, it was called progressive house or progressive trance, and acid house was the main influence those days. So you see, the world does turn around. What sounds so old today, is not so old at all. Fine tune your ears and you will see that all the elements your hear in those tracks are still present in today´s tracks.
PS. these tracks are classics, on a league of their own. They are as classics as goa´s tracks are, no more no less.
I will start with my favorite tracks:
Usura - Open Your Mind (1991)
Dance 2 Trance - Hello San Francisco(1990)
The Break Boys - My House Is Your House (1989)
