In electric Universe's 2004 album'Cosmic Experience"..the first track starts out with a great Indian prayer...sounds like sanskrit...and Boris mixs it very well..with this fullon goastyle beat...
What prayer is this..??...where did he get it from??..
any help wil be appreciated!

There is a name of a singer written in the original cd.
If you have it you can check it out,she is the same singer that did the vocals for his Unify album too

I think the same samples was used in a technotrack
Dj Shuffelmaster - Geylang, great track 
And i really like Electric Universe, that guy rocks!

As far as the CD cover is concerned, it says
'Backing vocals on "The Prayer" by Ana Silvera'
and
'Special thankxxx to Julia Metz for "The Prayer" sample'
So that's not really helping I'm afraid.. |

hmmmm....
interesting ... never wondered anyone would want to know bout these...
neways, lovely track no doubt bout that i guess
the chants...its a prayer for shiva
now i DID try to learn it from a baba once, like a real, chillum-smoking-shiva-worshipper baba... who used to stay in a temple
it so happened that me and a friend were at this temple,and we were tripping our balls off  ...and we had the music pumping in my car and i was just basically running around the temple compound going mad...(E )
but when this song came on, i asked the baba if he understood it and he said that he did ...its supposed to be a prayer for lord shiva (.. he was quite happy to hear the prayer actually  )
...i tried asking him to teach me, but i just wasnt in a state to learn it, so well... the whole point is... i dont know the prayer YET...but gimme a few days time(maybe a week) ill be going back there and this time i promise to ask that guy and post it over here for you guys!!!
meanwhile, if somebody wants to race and beat me to it, ure most welcome to
p.s. i know the whole temple bit sounds very far fetched and absurd, but i swear on "lucy" that it happened
lol....jokes apart... but that episode stands out as a very significant one out of all my trips so i wont lie bout it  |
