Based on the hope that wants trance music to be something more than an entertainment culture or fashion,into a progressing mind altering experience towards self and world evolution,shouldnt we wonder how all this positive energy and influence raised from the musical/dance experience could be used to change the unfair wars and killings that take place in our times?How all this happiness and freedom we momentarily live could be expanded into a universal one?May be the horizon is much more vast than we want to believe..may be we should have a new reason to create music..may be we can change all that and not just for the tranceheads but for the whole world through the poewr of art and trance so we can all njoy the spirals the dance and the ancient BEAT . . .just a thought!BI HI TO ALL OF YOU!MY BEST OF STARWISHES

Well, I dont think music should be used as tools for anything but musical enjoyment.
What everyone wants to do with their experience should be a matter of personal freedom.
I think, the best trance music can do is to inspire people to have an open mind, be aware of each other and the world as such - but not by targetting political & social topics in particular.
Instead, it can change people by giving them experiences which better them as human beings. Many people have never fellt love, nor experienced joy with others - If thats the case, experiencing a collective trance at a beautiful party will open them up to something larger than themselves, increasing facets of their personality which promote empathy, love and insight among other things.
So - Sure, music & culture can be used - but - it should be free of political or other agendas... At least I find it less fitting in trance music.
For me, its the music and the listener... and how the listener interprets.
The strongest asset is, to encourage people to think on their own and make up their own minds - Not by forcibly trying to manipulate them.
I will remain very closed to all music I feel is manipulative to my social and political views.
And - To be honest - Some wars are meant to be thought.... (even though thats not really a popular thing to say, it is the truth).
You cant change human nature on a conscious level, you have to stimulate something deeper inside us - something of which we are not aware... This I think, many artists (organizers, producers, djs, dancers, visual people...) achieve nicely.

u man are a primitive hedonist, which in ur case is good , cause ur view on something as meaningful these days as war is the most stupid and irresponsible thing ive heard in years. well, enjoy ur tunes about power puff girls and pointless festivals,(other than making $$)
