I would like to hear your opinion on regards to a question that a friend asked me, yesterday…
He asked; what is the place to be at, in the trance world in terms of crowds, underground, artists’ vibe etc. Or somethink like that. Once I would have answered Goa, but now I’m not so sure, I hear about all kinds of places that our suppose to be amazing, but what do you think, which country or area, has the best scene (parties)?

Melbourne in the summer - beautiful crowd (that come out to parties in their hundreds and sometimes thousands), amazing places (very varried all around the Melbourne area), a lot of energy and great vibes (if the people still dance, the party might continue indefinately - dancing until 5PM does take a toll though, be warned), loads of great music and talented artists/DJs (was very impressed by Ozzy and Mr. Peculiar when I was there). Byron Bay has a much smaller yet cooler crowd, totally wonderful places for parties, loads of parties (in the dead of Byron's "winter", I went to a steady 3 outdoor events a week), even cooler vibes (locals fed me some homemade blotters after I invited them for a puff from my stash, talk about instant karma - these types of things happened to me there ALL THE TIME), but the parties are much less organized, sound is much worse, and there are a lot less really awesome DJs there.
Of course many will say that there is no spirituality in the scene there and so on. Anyone cynical enough would say that this has already been the case for nearly a decade in the psytrance world (for those I'd recommend Byron Bay and to chill the f*ck out, do some yoga every morning next to the river and pick up surfing), and the real bastards will say that it was always like this (screw those guys).

kaz you r sooooo on the spot with melb' beeing on of the best places for trance there is all the great big festivals and great bush partys every weekend lots of good dj like s.c.s mr peculiar and lots more and geart forest and nice ppl
now that i think of it way the hell did i left

best place for trance is my synapse during dark soho(boxers dj set) halloween, ecliptic trance.  i dont think it could physically get any better than that. but hey its my brain, feel free to disagree.

Mexico is a reaaaaaaly a good place to be.
the Psyscene is so big overthere and ppl loooove it.
and its b.utiful,
And morroco... psyscene almost inexistant but the desert is so butiful.!!!:P
they do a party overthere twice a year |

It seems that Ibiza is the place to be, at least for the Artists and labels, quite a lot are moving there, or moved already there.
