hi guys...

My question is, what is the Perfect delay tempo, for Leads or the FX sounds...?I mean no Standart Delays... "perfect" i mean wired, Psychedelic Ping Pong Delays they rising in the Heads from the Listeners

With a STereo Delay, 1/8 with 1/4 ? or what?
I use the from time to time Delays in the Software Synths. Can anybody help me?

Use 1/4 triple or 1/8 double with long feedback, and play with panning, filter and feedback parameters to create nice floating evolving sounds.

I recommend this too, play around with 1/8 - 1/8D, 1/4 - 1/4D, etc

how can you say a delay is perfect??!!? it all depends on the sound and feel you want for that particular sound. think outside the box.

Try turning off the Quantize and just use your ears to set the delay...you can get some pretty interesting results.

Also try modulating the delay time and/or automating it.

I'm a big fan of Fabfilter Timeless
I also use the ones included with Cubase 5
and also Audio Damage Richochet sometimes.

Also try doing some calculations and you can then offset your delay a little from the usual 1/8, 1/4, 1/8D pingpong etc...

Here is a calculator from Steinberg

Bionic delay suits my needs often, and it is free. I also like the fact that you have separate control over teach channels delay time. Quite nice...
