I bought 2CD version with 3D sound disk to try out. I don't hear the big difference between regular stereo and this "new 3D sound". Maybe I need better headphones when what I have (Bose).
Music wise, it has some good moments. But doesn't work as the whole album for me. I heard better Orb before. Never liked the mix of electric guitar and electronics ether. Except Evan Marc and Steve Hillage "Dreamtime submersible" album. |

in my opinion, the prices on amazon uk are quite reasonable in most cases and in this one as well. Including shipping cost it will be the same price you will pay here in Israel. ( more or less )
If you will buy the 1 CD version from amazon uk, I think it will be something like 70 - 80 N.I.S. Not that bad in my opinion.
But you can also try here

From Juno, including shipping, it will cost you something like 60 N.I.S I think.
Cheers !

Is the 3D60 intended for headphone listening to hear the 3D effect? I haven't looked into it, but assumed the 3D60 required some sort of surround sound multi-channel speaker system (ala home theater) to take advantage of full "3D" sound. |

dunno. was a waste of money on my part. no inspiring to me at all. i can think easily of 5 downtempo electronic artists i would give gilmor to work with and will come out with something 10 times better. the way the tracks (parts) are mixed into each other just sounds horrible to me.

You can buy it here for £7.49
(single cd version) including shipping. They are practically giving it away. Two disc version is £16.99.
You can really pick up some bargains at cdwow.

Indeed it is pure marketing bullsh*t, it's a rather old recording technique called "binaural recording".
