Read a bit about this earlier this week. Looks like a very worthy project indeed.
Apparently there will also be a limited 2-disc version with the 2nd disc being in 3D sound (but listenable through normal headphones etc). See: http://www.3d60.co.uk/
That said, I need to ask myself the question, am i ever going to listen to the 3D version? Given that i never even listen to music in headphones anyway...
I will ponder.

We need to bring this place back to life, a while ago this thread would have been 2 pages long with a lot of interesting things to read (and at least a couple of argument...) by now.
