USE YOUR MIND
I see lots of topics about "HOW" and "what"... Belive me, these are all opinions and individualistic ideas!!!
Best way, and belive me it works, is to use your MIND & Imagination!!! Play a bit with knobs and faders and ideas will come

Here is an extract from that website:
"This is amazing! After 2 months of using the Neuro-Programmer my grades in school have jumped from high C's to almost straight A's this semester! My concentration, wit, motivation and emotional stability have all improved! What a great product this is. It has profoundly altered the course of my life."

sorry, but I have to disagree.
thinking is not good enough.
you have to implement what you do as well.

i agree with mike on this one
thinkin is just not enough, or it might be, but it will take much much longer to get the results.
for someone who doesn´t know the standard process, it will be much easier to first know the process to do something and then be creative than to start from the beggining being creative on something, with no basis..
for example, anyone can make abstract paintings, but few people can make abstract paintings like Kandisnski, who knew it all about mixing colours and the way shapes work with each other, and although most of his painting were abstract, he could paint reality perfectly just like a photograph.
so if people know the standard way of doing something they have plenty of space for being creative from that point, and the result will be a much more solid work..

I also agree, learning techniques is essential. If u do it by ur own it will take u much time to figure out how things are made. If someone teaches u the basic techniques ull be able to do much better stuff in less time.
The coparement with painting is very good. It is very hard, if not impossible, to learn the technics for classic painting with layers by ur own.
Peace

right brain vs left brain
technique vs inspiration
white vs black
yin vs yang...
One without the other is either chaos or lifeless.
fusion
fusion
fusion
Oh, and a new trick my girlie suggested that has opened up so many doors: sit with a microphone and use my voice to jot down ideas (drum fills, melodies, chord progressions, etc etc etc). It makes it SO easy to capture the ideas and get the song written, then go back and replace these 'sketches' with the actual synthlines/fx/drums/etc. I literally have my mic plugged in to cubase and just record myself adding elements acappella. The ideas just FLOW.

Yeah right....Make this experiment...
Take a sequencer you never used, like logic, cubase, nuendo, etc....
Try to learn it on your own, asking no questions nor looking anywhere, just use your mind and imagination.
Now repeat that experience but with someone on your side who knows the sequencer and gives feedback to the questions you ask.
Compare both experiences and tell me in wich one you learned the most |
