This is a back to basics tune. I've had two tracks recently that were "nearly" finished. I had been working on them for bloody weeks, only to to trash them. There goes the last 6 weeks...maybe cos they were in a different genre or maybe cos they were too busy.
After listening to Mylo's excellent CD, some of the tracks of which seem just to be half a dozen sounds, I decided to make a track such as this. Although this is still the first mix, entirely done in Reason, it took me just 10 hours to complete; I gave myself the goal of finishing this in four sessions.
In the song itself, I wanted to give the impression that this track could fall apart at the seams any moment. In fact it does; this effect was achieved by playing live on the keyboard and not quantasizing.
