For running pro-tools and other professional audio-app's it's very usefull. But for playing around at home it's a bit overkill.

For 2999$ you can cluster 4 amd cpus 
..and can use any prog.

and i think its for mac only  also i have all what i need , but sure the price is high ( screen not include )
