AGMIS, a well respected veteran of isratrance has posted a little while ago about Tim Larner – Sensient, talking about new sound and fresh ideas. I'd like to share my thoughts on my definition of who fits in the "new breed" although i'd rather not use that phrase since it labels and restricts my writing. anyway, i think the new sound is actually from Israel, artists like Domestic, Pixel, Sub6, Panick, Cyclic, Intellabeam ( i hope i didnt leave anyone out) are the new direction. Not that pixel and domestic are new to the trance scene by any means, but their sound has developed lately from great to astounding... incredibly innovative trance from all these artists, usually peaking only at 142bpm often playing at 138-140 bpm, gives these artists the space to be so groovy with their music. the sound production itself is crystal clear, fresh, crisp and so so psychadelic! the structure of progressive trance along with the full on ideas are such a great combo. not too loud, and not boring. Intelligence is what connects all that comes out of these guys. Intelligent trance is what i call it... smart bass manipulations, wicked samples, and absolutley mindbending effects on every track. i often find myself just amazed and taken away on far away journeys when i listen to any music from these artists... panicks new album hasnt left my cd deck since i got it. Think Sync imho is one of the best compilations ive ever heard... and Sub6's upcoming debut album is sure to lift them to trance superstars status... that's it, those are my 2 cents, im not here to disagree with AGMIS, but imo this is it..... these artists give me that same wooooow! feeling i use to get from trance when i was first getting into it... great work from all of you, keep it up!           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

I agree with everything, but you forgot about Sesto Sento... Great mistake, these guys know what they´re doing: low BPM dancefloor chaos...
And also Vick Shefi (Cyber Cartel / Intergalactic) that are really a revelation with two whole killer/new/different albums in less that a year... High quality stuff.
Israel really leads the scene...

Bersex, I agree with every word.
Pixel and Domestic and company are combining the "in between progressive and full on" sounds that I adore so much.
On the contrary full on, Vik Shefi is making plain full on. He wasn't talking about that style. Israel is known to have big full on artists. It's not new. And Vik Shefi is defenitely full on.           Majority is never right!

Exactly what i feel about those guys. Especially Sub6, his groove is irresistable.
I'm spinning Sub6&Pixel - Teder Beseder nonstop for a month now.
Amazing, innovative stuff.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Ravergirl right, Vik shefi kicks ass, but thats not what i mean, his music is usually 143-146 bpm full on, same with sesto boys theyre amazing especially their lower bpm 143 stuff!! but its not the same sound, they are full on melodic, whilst the artists i was discussing are more like raver girl said, "in between progressive and full on"           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

I think the Godfather said it best "Just as I thought I was out, they pulled me back in."
I've been bored as fuck with psytrance lately but these guys certainly make me feel like there is still some hope left for our static little genre.

Thanx Berserx for turning me onto the new Panick album and also the Think Sync compilation. Those 2 have definetly been getting some rotation (along with the Oxygen comp) on my stereo lately

Unfortunately it seems like Progressive is huffing and puffing for its last innovative breath nowadays. I know for a fact that there is still alot of room for improvement but is their still a crowd for it?           Both teams played hard

berserx, I couldn’t agree more with what you are saying.

I too think that the guys from Israel are doing a great job, and definitely coming up with new ideas.

Great to see you sharing your thoughts about these artists, as I did with sensient. I just hope that our words will inspire people to go out and buy their music, book them gigs, and enjoy their music as much as we do.

BOOM.
