The natural waves of sound 002 - Compiled by DJ Nino & Kechu (compact dec 2004)

1. Cosmic Tone - Save The Day (Visual Paradox edition) 6:26
2. Ferbi Boys - Jumping Beans 6:17
3. Aquatica - The Universe City 8:06
4. Uriel - Kiss The Sun 7:11
5. Visual Contact - Gainover 7:51
6. Ultravoice - Real Will 7:28
7. Bizzare Contact - Crystal 8:00
8. Intergalactic - Moira 6:51
9. System Nipel vs Electro Sun - We Can Fly 7:22

The first part of "The natural waves of sound" was released exactly one year ago and it was quite an interesting release. It had a special atmosphere and style, which made it unique. The tracks themselves were mostly ok as well. Did Compact Records manage to top the first part?

This compilation was compiled by Nino & Kechu, 2 DJ's from Mexico. They choose to start the party with the Visual Paradox edition for Cosmic Tone's Save The Day. This track is ok - just one problem: What is it doing here? This is the total opposite of psychedelic trance, and it sounds like something European club trance DJ's would play. Ferbi Boys (side project of Sesto Sento) put this compilation back on track with Jumping Beans, a groovy filler track. Aquatica is searching for The Universe City in yet another clubby track, but this time it's done a lot better. Moving and full of surprises. Uriel - Kiss The Sun is probably the worst track here. Are we stuck in 2001? Outdated and pointless track, without any groove I know Uriel can do. Visual Paradox joins Bizzare Contact for Gainover. One of the best here - this track is pure joy - professional structure and great choice of sounds. Ultravoice - Real Will is another pointless filler, should have been left out. Crystal by Bizzare Contact is another favorite here, great production on this one. Intergalactic is another favorite here. Beautiful vocals and dreamy atmosphere - not their usual style. The closing track is un doubtfully the best track on this compilation - We Can Fly by System Nipel & Electro Sun. One word to describe it: Amazing. Cheesy melodies and vocals but it still manages to remain somewhat psychedelic.

The compilation is divided into two parts. Half of it is amazing, while the other half is a waste of plastic. If only more thought had been put into this compilation it would be much much better, instead of only "half amazing". The artists which made this compilation are Bizzare Contact, System Nipel, Electro Sun, Aquatica and Intergalactic. Compare them to the other tracks and you'll see what the value of good production is and track writing. The compilation also lacks a logical order. Different placing of the tracks could have helped as well. I also might be imagining, but I think that the real low frequencies have disappeared from most of the tracks. Something wrong in the mastering process?

Recommendation: Tracks 3, 5 and 9 alone are worth getting this compilation, if you don't mind that some other tracks are below the standard. Overall a nice compilation, could be much better though.
My favorites: 3, 5, 7, 8, 9(!).

I tend to agree with you on a lot of your points here Mike. The first Visial Paradox edit/remix of Cosmic Tone could have been really good, but the vocals are some of the worst I’ve ever heard in psytrance the last year, and they completely destroy the overall experience of the track. Cheesyness doesn’t normally scare me, but uff this is just too much… it sounds like something out of your everyday eurotrance tune.

I agree with you on some of the gems. The System Nipel and Electro Sun collaboration “We Can Fly” really caught me by surprise, with it’s mindblowing melodies and uplifting theme - Excellent morning full on. The Aquatica tune was very pleasant, and the Intergalactic track was also pretty good (am I the only one who heard a hint of the Terminator theme? ) – but not on quite the same level as Aquatica, System Niple and Electro Sun.

Overall an above average morning full on compilation. Some really good tracks, a lot of fillers, but certainly not the worst buy in this style of music. Still, not nearly as good as the compilations Com.Pact released back in 2003.

Favs: 3, 8, 9 (!!)

I think you guys missed the point of the track:

Cosmic Tone - Save The Day (Visual Paradox edition)

First, an "angel voice" just like in many tracks from normal trance (like Paul Oakenfold - Gamemaster http://www.lyrictracker.com/show.php?id=MTcwNDc= and many more) this kind of vocals, with some "reflexive or pseudo-philosophical" lyrics are caracteristic of normal euro trance.

Here is the samples to make it a little more clear...

"I've come down from above the skies to save the day.
I'm about to review the tales of your lives.
Too many secrets are lost inside your mind,
But you're all equal in life, equal in love...
You all ..... in the sky, dreaming of a better world.."

Then the DJs voice to make clear the mistake:

"Wrong track...
Let's get to the real thing!..."

So it's a joke track, making fun of normal trance. I must admit I don't like it very much, but it's funny...

The best for me in this Compilation is Aquatica - The Universe City. Tracks 2, 5, 7 and 9 are nice too.
Respect!

          .
...Be gentle with the earth...
...Dance like nobody's watching...
.
...I don't mind not going to Heaven, as long as they've got Coffee in Hell...

Like it has been already said before nothing really interesting here, the worst compilation from Com.pact for me, too much eurodance/eurotrance oriented.
There's only 3 listenable stuffs which are:
Visual Contact - Gain Over
Bizarre Contact - Crystal
System Nippel vs Electro Sun - We Can Fly (even if i must admitt this one is also very clubby cheesy directed)

I don't mind the Ferbi Boys & Visual Contact tracks, although the Visual Contact one's a bit cheesey. The rest is even cheesier & so doesn't suit my tastes.           new Hadal Drop album on the way

if you don't have the last one get in touch

Quality comp.
Ferbi boys - briliant PPS Project-kinda track, dark background, nice driving beats
Aquatice - excelent melodies
Visual contact - one of the best tracks of this VA. Beautifull melodies
Intergalactic - nice vocals and a great melodic finale
System Nipel vs. Electro Sun - this is the best track of the cd, excelent for morning periods, the track that is worth having.

All in all, great CD Compact

Cant agree with neither Mike A nor prOfane
I think Cosmic Tone is definately the best track on this fabulous compialtion.

Personaly i think this is the best CD that has come out so far from com.pact records crew.
In track 1, this clubby vocals and clear energy saved my day! Heheh Total blaster 8/10
Ferbi Boys comes with very groovy and i would say funky track. Not bad at all.
Track nr3. Aquatica is...lets say from the same level which Cosmic Tone is Awesome melodies, inteligent, moving bassline....not cheesy at all.
Track nr4. Also prety good, especialy the end of this track. The samples remind me classic happy hardcore track called: "Brisk and Ham - Taste The Rainbow". Seems that psy and hardcore has a lot in common
5,6,7 im skipping, becouse those tracks are nothing special for me.
Inteergalactic - Moira. Exactly what i expect every time i see intergalactic along other artists on compilations Thats beatufil, stunning fullon trance.
System Niple closes the compilation with another high quality tune. Very high-cheesy track but made very well.

All in all, this compilation was worth to buy even for 2 tracks. Cosmic tone and Aquatica.

i find the ferbi boys' jumping beans best track on this cd. love this atmospheric techy stuff. it's hard to find distinctive music from israel, but somtimes it can happen

very good one which can be used in both night- & day-time

i remember the vol 1 of Natural waves of sound which was one of my prefered comp !
i was waiting the vol 2 and since i got it, i can say its the worst comp from Comp.Pact...
I dont like comp.pact releases since All You Can Beat - Visual Paradox.
The first comps (air gate, made to measure, think sync) was very very good ! but now ...

diffrent people = diffrent output.
Think Sync is one of the best israeli full-on compilations made.
