hi so i want to ask, how do you use your brother to be another listening ear?? i usally put my brother 1.5 meter from the speakers and ask him to close his eyes and listen, but i dont think its professional, i would like to hear from other artists how they position their brother cause right now its the main thing i should upgrade in my studio.

I have two brothers, they are identical twins so this lets me get a good view of quadraphonic mixes. I strongly suggest getting another brother if you can - perhaps your parents may get you another for Xmas - because even if you don't mix quad, two brothers is much better at compensating for room problems than one brother.
I don't have a sister of my own but I often borrow someone else's; I find an active sister is most effective and gives far better results.

the most important thing of all is that you try to find your own sister and brother. don't try to use somebody elses brother and sister.
Furthermore using a brother for basslines is not good because it will only use the ressources of the sister. better take the sister for bassline in the first place. be sure to use only highquality sisters, though.
As for mothers the subject is more complex. it's hard to say if mothers or fathers are better. mothers usually are more stable than fathers, but fathers often come cheaper at high power.
