I don't think its boomy, the main meat of your bass just sounds like a bit of cardboard flapping in the wind.
You need to increase the filter envelope amount to give it more attack - a more percussive edge.
The kick is very well chosen, its goes well with the bass note.
Did you get a notification balloon or something while you were recording this? Windows noise pop in there! Dunno how that got into a bounce.
You should have all your sounds turned off in XP anyway.. naughty boy!
As for mixing.. not much point giving you an opinion on it unless the sounds you pick are worth keeping, different sounds have different apparent volumes. Get the sounds right, then ask for mixing advice.
I think its going to take years to write a track if you want opinions on how only 2 sounds are mixed! Throw a few more elements in there to get a feel for the track mix. I never end up with the same kick or bass volume I started with at the beginning anyway. I adjust as I go. |
