Cubase and Logic got maybe a few more advanced options for the midi editing etc, but you can surely achive all in ProTools too, and the standard recording or edit functions like qunantize etc are of course there between own specials. I believe ProTOols will expand the midi domain in the following updates anyways.
Many synths don't feature the RTAS format but there are enough that support it and beside that you can always make Logic a slave or record something here and edit there. ProTools native plug ins and audio edit options should be worth to call ProTools master imo.
Still I think Logic and Cubase are the great composing tools especially when you are used to them but for polishing, recording, editing, mixing and mastering ProTools is worth having it.
..but I would nver claim that Protools is the non plus ultra ,one of the most impressive studios that I've visited run on logic, from a guy who make a nice living from big tv adverts(only sound to movie) for big companies. Tons of gear with lots of nice touchscreens etc all to logic i was deeply impressed.
