roger that, captain
Cubase pitch tool is immense, so much fun, especially for night forest stuff.
Cubase is good in clipping technique. However one should listen very carefully not to overdo the effect (harsh distorted noise might appear).

for intense drum or whatever rolls (might take some time but you can end up with cool results)
take for exampe kickdrum
clone it CTRL + D
make the wave file shorter
clone again
make wave file shorter
clone again etc....
till the point you want!

There is a variation of this method: Cubase has Event Info Line, which shows all info about selected clip. Among other attributes there is length parameter. Therefore instead of manually cutting the sample with scissors it is possible to decrease samples length gradually, which in some cases sounds really fun. It is good to bring back the same sound gradually increasing its length as well

A nice hint i picked up yesterday, when have a send effect (delay, reverb, etc),if you take down the volume of the source you will still hear the effected sound.very cool for those hints of melodies. |

sounds interesting will have to check but what i do i dont use scossors but instead, i just have the usual wav envelope at the end the wavefile just by dragging the corner of the file while holding the quantize off button (ctrl or alt) so the clipping stuff wont happen.... but for sure thanks for your variation have to check it out!

crtl + right click on audio part to add some effect or edit.
using this method you won't need to load anything in your insert channel of this track.
you can also cut this audio part and apply different effects or edits in the same original audio part, i.e.: you can cut an audio part in 3 applying reverb in the first part, delay in the second and pitch shift in the last.
hope it helps!

one thing that I started doing that I found useful a while back that I find saves a bit on CPU
Create a Group Channel Track, name it say "Hat FX" or something
Insert the desired effects you want for a certain set of percussive sounds - Hats, Drum Fills, Shaker Loops, Claps, Snares (If you want a long revarbed clap/snare hit do it on its own channel and Bounce it if you wish)
Revarbs/Delays
In the sends for each channel of the perccusions, EX: Hat 1, Crash 1, Ride 1, Hat 2, Hat 3, etc..etc...
Route one of the sends to the group, and adjust accordingly for how loud you want that particular instrument's FX to be in the mix...
Once you set it up, if you find your PC can't handle the FX, you can deactivate the sends from the instruments, and keep on working on the project otherwise you can keep it on and monitor it like this...

and where exactly is the advantage of using groups tracks instead of the desired fx returns?

bro what i meant about clipping technique has no connection to cutting sounds, that was just another tip.
i mean clipping technique while mixing/mastering to gain more loudness while not using compressors and limiter.

when you hold STRG+SHIFT+ALT down and press the little "e" in the channel, every plugin in the insert chain will opend and even save the position of the plugins next time you do it again.
when you want to close all the plugins just hold down shift and press the "e" again..
