zuko=) I really dont understand your question?

but here is a basic way to start building a melody, for newbies though..

my advice... maybe you start with bass(and kick), then take the same key/tone as the bass and build a straight pattern.. just straight, and start putting notes above the root(the root note)

for example, you build your track in the key of Am(A minor) then the tones are A C E of that chord, so now you can make a melody out of this though very limited so you could expand it to build the melody from the scale Am which would be A B C D E F G

So try, make 8bar pattern, use these tones, like
AAAACAAAAAFAAAEAAAAADAAAAAGAAAEA
on every beat, 1/4
now you can also take away notes or add others.. make shorter or longer...

to learn more scales and chords:

Though now i see that Zork sorted this out..

you can go a make a "songwriting" in your sequencer just by brainstorming harmonies by just using a piano-vsti.
use all you know about music theorie and start by arranging a loop of with 3-4 chords for example.
then extract some melodie and lay it over to it, experience.
at the end you should have something like a "basic harmony-set"
from that you can go transforming your "songwriting" into some serious production seperating the chord-notes into different instruments like bass, hookline etc. for example - anyway you will be able to orientate far better if you have such a "harmonical key-map" because you can see where your trackarrangement belongs to.

omg now I known what my friend have on thought when he told: today psy-trance is just "copy & paste" so is deadly boooooring."
I always believe that is this music a sound of imaginiation of artist :|

I can only recommend You to learn a music theory and notes and scales. Just minor and major for start. Its best way for easy making music in future
