The meaning of the avatars....

Since a couple of months several members (me included!!!!) changed from the usual flag to a more "personal" graffic existence in the forum - the avatar...
So i was wondering, do you think that the avatar gives away more of the personality of the person, maybe its easy to understand who`s behind the user name....a door to the persons soul 
I was looking to some of the avatars here in the forum and actually they match with the idea i have of the person itself...or the idea that i have of the idea the person has of itself (wowwowowo....). I found some twisted, dark-humour avatar (Ruberoid) or the more "im a serious, wise" person (Full-on) or the "sophisticated crew" (spytoones)....this were some of my impressions (without thinking to much about it).
What does each avatar "means" to you?
