hello Leo,
downloaded the tune, can't find full-on here  pure goa, old-school stuff as you said. nice vibe, reminded me the old days, what i miss here is some theme, some lead - melody that will flow over at least on second part of the track. production is nice, cool to see people make some old styled stuff.

my honest advice Spindrift is not to produce something done before in same form ... try to combine things aka neo-goa ....
also i do agree with Prosect about some kind of change ,,, kinda start to be boring ......
i do not feel musical flow ... like in Astral Projection's music .... but i think it's new for you and you will need to experiment alot till you get musical level in it .....
mix done well for Goa ,,,kick little bit clicky ..i would make it lower...
buttom line ... add something spetial , it can be not only melody , fx or speech minimal part(aka kick bass and speech) ..redo mixdown .... find track's main and cover it with shit ... not else .... |

Yes, full-on is maybe not correct word at all. I'm bad with genres, and realise that to some it means GMS style, which it's definatly not.
And you are sure right that it could be nice with a more prominent lead in the track, to give it more hit factor. We had a bit more 'wall of sound' approach to this one.
Sector:
I don't have any ambitions to sound like Astral Projection. For me there is to much musical flow in much of their stuff. It becomes a bit unsuttle.
I know that it sounds a bit like the classical hit style when it starts off, and therefore comes the expectations of some super melodic lead coming in.
A bit unsettled track therefore maybe.
The kick sound is maybe a bit hard for this style of track as well, agreed.

just mixdown it once again and make the main more felt aka point of track ... then will be musical connection ....
also change the fuck your web host ,,, shame for Swedish guy to use such low speed host .. you all there have 10mbit connections ..... |

i don't mixdown again, but keep your comments in mind for next track
the host could be better, but thats the best connection I can get in the middle of the forest here.
Most users connect at about 100k though, and I can have a bunch of users at the same time, so it does the job it seems.
What speed did you get? |

i got 10-20kbs ... when mostly i have around 80-200kbs from Swedish guys(that's why i like Sweden...coz your upload speed) |

old style goa it is!!! the only part that remind full on is maybe the basslines... and maybe the leads also but this dont count! i really like ur leads when they r long and psychedelic (think i told u that before) but on 1:52 till 2:27 when the other lead in coming in its kinda empty... short pattern...
now when sektor mentiond it, it really sounds like the kick is a bit to clicky and a depper bassy kick would fit better!
over all great tune! its really nice to hear old school style returns... but please for the old schoolers change the basslines from fullonish lines to more varieting psychedelic basslines

I don't do only pure old-school like this, but we felt like doing some extra old school tracks.
It is not the ultimate style I agree myself, and I do like some of the more upto date tracks I done better myself, so fair comment.
