Astral Projection's superb "Mahadeva" is considered the face of the 1990s trance scene. It embodied all goa and psy elements: the melodies, the multilayered pattern, the sharp kick and the magic that some trancers miss so much.
1990s are long gone, but the magic still remains. Now the goa scene is seeing the arrival of a new generation of artists that is bringing a fresh, cool wind to the dancefloors. Labels and distributors are releasing new tracks that please every taste under the umbrella of neogoa: progressive, dark, morning, you name it.
I want to bring to your attention a wonderful track that is amazing the fans old and new of goa trance. If "Mahadeva" was the track that best represents the 1990s scene, then "Perception" by Nova Fractal is the face of the 2010s: it has the very same goa-style melodies, the kicks, the layers but under a new perspective.
