Just watched this again at home after seeing it in the theatres when it came out (gah, why do I spell it like an Englishman).
I have to recommend it simply for the acting by Anette Bening and Julian Moore. They both perfectly nailed their characters, with every subtle nuance. And Mark Ruffalo does an excellent job as well, as the 'interloper'.
Great acting from Hollywood comes along only once in a while these days, afaik, and this one has it.
